ATA Write Guard
A card-write path: stock's initial PIO write could hang polling the card after a task switch; the guard keeps its critical section intact. Measured under the port; cursory testing on Sam's MKII (owner report, 16 Oct 2026). Nothing on the panel.
Display Behaviour
Storage fix. It adds no LCD page or panel control.
Status: on hardware: cursory testing on Sam's MKII (owner report, 16 Oct 2026); forced completion interrupt and full DSP-enabled project load under the port, 15 Oct 2026; not on hardware.
Module facts (developers)
Keeps the first PIO card sector and its pointer/count update atomic against interrupts; restores the caller's interrupt mask before returning.
